We are pleased to announce the 2024 CATAP Workshop (November 3 & 4) and Conference (November 5-7) at the Fairmont Chateau Whistler Resort in Whistler, British Columbia. Online registration is open! We invite proposals featuring research, case studies and applied practitioner content on all topics relevant to threat assessment and management (TAM) such as:
- TAM as it pertains to radicalization, extremism and terrorism countermeasures
- Violence prevention in campus and school safety, healthcare, corporate, community-based settings, etc.
- Stalking and harassment, online and offline
- The role of specific mental health problems in TAM
- Neurodiversity and TAM
- Support and management of victims and other impacted person
- Intersectionality
- Case formulation and communication of risk
- Gender-based and sexualized violence
- Legal, policy, privacy, and ethical issues, including privacy implications in the Canadian landscape
- Developing and working within multi-disciplinary and cross-agency teams
- Coordinating multiple and overlapping investigations
- Family violence including intimate partner violence, child abuse and neglect, or elder abuse and neglect
- TAM as it pertains to organized crime and other group-based violence
